Fashion Week Trends: Menswear Brights
The Autumn/Winter 2011 menswear collections are showing in Milan and as the catwalk photos come in, we see the season’s trends shining through. Bold and almost blinding in some cases, bright blocks of colour have been waking up the front rows; from Dolce and Gabbana’s red suits to garish purple, lime green and neon pink at Jil Sander.
Bottega Veneta paired their mustard-yellow jacket with leather trousers, while Costume National were a little more subtle, hiding paint-box blue knitwear under a slimline blazer. The tangerine coat at Burberry Prorsum made up a range of block colour outerwear, with similar styles in pea green and sky blue, extending to designer waterproofs and puffer coats.
